i don't care what hip, i tihnk some country's pretty good, just as long as it's not too mainstream pop/rock sounding or too hillbilly/redneck lyrically

i've been listening to a little early country and bluegrass stuff on pandora, it's pretty sweet.

MY church leader plays a good version of blessed be the broken road, i like his version, the most country I can really listen to is Trampled by turtles, and yonder mountain string band

meh... i guess i can tolerate new popular country... but a lot of it just sounds too commercial/just like other modern pop music but slightly more down to earth for me. it's kinda like how some people are 'horns = ska' well, southern drawl doesn't = country, a lot of it is southern rock or pop with a teenie little smidge of a hint of bluegrass or maybe just a violin in there. c'mon, yellowcard had(has?) violins.

Oh I agree with Ben. Like, a lot of their stuff is pretty pop/rock-ish. But not Pop-Rock-ish. But, I like it. S'good stuff.

I'm really not into country music at all. Except, I love Lynyrd Skynyrd, and they are rock mixed with some country sound. But that's the extent of country-ish music I can enjoy.

I don't really mind country music at all. It's what's usually on on the car so I'm very immune to it. I normally wouldn't listen to it on my own time, but the song 'Would You Go With Me' by Josh Turner has caught my interest. It must be that banjo riff....
