| I knew that somewhere in me there was capacity to enjoy rap, but 99% of it that I heard I hated. But there were a few songs I enjoyed; NWA's express yourself, Sugarhill Gang's rapper's delight, a biz markie song or two, bad credit, and then maybe some nerdcore songs i've heard. So I finally turned to my friend Pandora and told her/him... it, of the few songs I liked and pretty soon I was listening to rap I actually enjoyed.
some things I've thumbed up:
Young MC Jungle Brothers Newcleus
(Song - Artist) You Wanna Know - Ugly Ducklin Let's Jam - Newcleus Mistadobalina - Del Tha Funkee Homosapien Principal's Office - Young MC Slicker Than Most - Guru
so are you gonna attack me now or what? :<(8:

| i like a lot of what i hear. but i don't go out looking for rap/hip hop songs to listen to.
i do tend to stick to the nerdcore stuff though. mc lars is definitely my favorite "rapper."
but as far as mainstream goes, i love love love outkast. and that's pretty much the only one that comes to mind right now. |

I don't know what part of that sentence was not awesome. XD I go for the "Old School" stuff my self. MC Hammer, Sir Mix-a-Lot, etc. Sadly, I know Baby Got Back by heart, and that is probablly not a good thing.

| The only rap I really like is MC Lars and Bad Credit. LYLT does some occasionally, but they're not a rap group. I really love freestyle raps because it shows that the rappers aren't just sellout loser record company faces. It shows that they really know how wrap with improv skills. Speaking of MC Lars and freestyles, did anyone catch that MC Lars live internet freestyle 2 weeks or so ago? I don't remember what site it was on, but he was truly amazing.
Anyways, here's an awesome freestyle after an Aquabats concert at In the Venue. I'm the dude behind MC Lars wearing the green surfing shirt at 1:34(+). It's not too great audio wise, but it gets the point across.

| Hmm. Before watching the video, I checked the comments. Good thing too: "Oh, I just got Rick Rolled!" or "Dang it, you got me!"
So I'll pass on starting the video.

| I don't really listen to Rap/Hip hop, save for some TLC songs. (Also the song "The Hypnotic" by The Roots, but only because it has my name in it ) |

thats the point of a rick roll anyway, but in all seriousness I enjoy some immortal technique now and again, and atmosphere, brother ali, and I like some songs when they are just like chill songs drivin' with friends

| YALL AS THE LOLZ KING I WANT YALL TO READ THIS MESSAGE AND LISTEN TO THIS MUSIK AND TELL ME WHAT YALL THINKZ
were i come from down south in texas we have a underground rap scene. its been around since bout 1985. Geto Boyz were the first houston rap group to make it big. (they have 2 or 3 songs on mike judges office space). DJ SCREW started selling mixtapes on the southside of houston around 1992 of slowed down(Screwed) and double beat/skipped beats(Chopped)of local rap artists. (Mostly Screwed Up Click members like Fat Pat, Lil KeKe, Z-Ro, Big Moe, Trae, Big HAWK) DJ Screw died of a popular houston underground drink known as "Lean, Szyrup,Purple Drank,Oil,Mudd which consist of over the counter cough syrup (known as Codiene) and Sprite. meanwhile on the northside of houston Micheal 5000 Watts started the Swishahouse movement (named after swisha sweet cigars used to smoke marijuana) with paul wall and chamillionaire and mike jones. and thats when houston rap scene finnally made it out of houston like 2004 and shit.
