Yay birthday!! Woot woot!

I went to school. Now I have Birthday Homework.

Also Xplorers is blocked at school. LAME.

I have strep throat....hooray.

That's what you get for not coming to Salt Lake for the bats show.

So I have an appointment with my adviser tomorrow.

I want to talk to her about student teaching in COSTA RICA.

I realllllllllly want to go. Hopefully she says that everything is in order and I can start the process.

We are gonna get to go study for a semester in Mexico at the University of Monterrey! Probably next January-ish.

I have the option of going to either Nicaragua, Guatemala or Costa Rica. All English speaking schools. But I will learn Spanish seeing as that's what they speak there, and in order to communicate, I would need to know it.

You should learn the basics before going. But that would be AWESOME!


I got a call from The New Era this morning. They might publish my article I wrote about video games. I have to talk with one of the big wigs today.

If I get accepted, I'm going to learn this summer. And if/when I go, there's a two week long crash course in Spanish.


edit: and that's AWESOME! Can't wait to see it!

They want me to change a few things and focus on jsut a few aspects of my article. But it will be awesome!

Anyway, I got my "call" (haha) I'm going to a fifth grade classroom to intern for the semester. My teacher is a guy. Hopefully he's bald and old and ugly and married. If not, then I'm screwed. His name is cool though: Mr. Broberg. Maybe I can get by calling him Bro. Like... "Hey, Bro, what's up?" Haha. Think he'll go for that?

i feel terrible. i'm so sick. i have a pounding headache and i threw up this morning for the first time in about 12 years. i can't keep anything down. the water i just drank feels like it's going to.... well... you know. i thought i would just sleep it off, so that's what i did. and now i'm awake and still feel like puking.

Gross. Call your home teachers! They'll help.

Whoa! That mandala business looks intense!

i went to the dr. he said it's probably a virus and i was dehydrated from puking so much this morning. (only once, but it was a lot. i'll spare you the details.)

as soon as i got back into the exam room, i threw up again. which made me even more dehydrated. he put an iv in me with saline and medicine to stop me from blowing chunks. my blood pressure was really low and my pulse was through the roof.

now i'm on a liquids only diet for a few days. I can't have anything to drink until about 9 tonight. oh. and he gave me a note for class tomorrow just in case i need it.

i hate being sick. i absolutely hate it with every fiber of my being.

today, i'm feeling much much much better.

the only thing i've eaten since tuesday has been a can of soup and a "soup at hand" thing of soup.

i want to eat real food now.... but i don't know if i'm allowed. i'm starving. soup doesn't fill a person up...

Eat crackers. Slowly. Nibble on them. Then if you can keep that down, try going for small amounts of bread with your soup.
